Net Carb Calculator

Net Carb Calculator

Net carbs subtract fiber and part of the sugar alcohols from total carbohydrate. It is a counting method, not a legal nutrient.

Calculation values

Enter the values and press Calculate. Numbers outside the allowed range produce no result.

How is it calculated?

On US labels fiber is inside total carbohydrate, so it is subtracted. Turkish labels can differ; check whether fiber is included in the total.

Net carbs = total carbohydrate − fiber − (sugar alcohols ÷ 2)

FiberFully subtracted
Sugar alcoholsHalf subtracted

How should you read the result?

Erythritol is nearly calorie-free, while maltitol affects blood glucose more. Halving is an average, not a unique factor for every polyol.

Frequently asked questions

What are net carbs?

Grams left after removing fiber and part of the sugar alcohols from total carbohydrate.

How many net carbs for keto?

Many protocols use about 20–50 g per day. That is not a medical requirement.

Is fiber a carbohydrate?

Chemically yes, but it is not digested in the small intestine, so net counts subtract it.

Are sugar alcohols zero?

No. This tool subtracts half. Blood glucose response depends on the type.
